CALL TO
PRAYER. I believe with all my heart that a
spiritually healthy church is a praying church, and this health is directly
proportional to the prayer life of the congregation and its
pastor.
I
am asking each one to join me in prayer by:
who
was born on July 10th would pray for me on the tenth day of each
month.
2. Pray for the spiritual health of your
church.
3. Pray for the success of our focus on the
Five
Practices
of Fruitful congregations.

BEGINNINGS: LONGING TO BELONG. This is a ten-session program in
Christian community building. Each
week we will gather to consider how we can go deeper in our relationship
with God and with other followers of Jesus Christ.
We
will explore who we are, who God is, and how our lives interact with God and
fellow disciples
of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
The
meetings will be every Monday evening at
7:00 p.m. at the home of Tim and
Sheri Webster,171
Larish, in Lemoore.
For more
information or to sign up, please
call Sheri at 423-5679.

WORSHIP COMMITTEE NEWS
UPDATE. Several persons have asked about fresh
flowers on the altar. If anyone is
interested in providing
flowers, please contact Carole Wood at
We have several vases in the kitchen

pretty addition on our altar.
These
flowers could be used as memorials or “in honor of.” Be sure to let Carole know so there won’t
be duplications.
So
far, we have had several members providing beautiful flowers. They really do add a wonderful touch to
the service.

youth will meet in Faith Hall on the 2nd and 4th
Wednesdays of each month from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. For more information to volunteer to
help or to sign up your youth, please call Terra at

THE UMW LADIES’ CRAFT GROUP
which
has been meeting on Monday mornings will now
meet
on Tuesday mornings at 9:00 a.m. until further notice.
The
ladies want to thank everyone who helped to make enchiladas for the UMW.
A big thank-you for all
those who came to buy them. (We

LEMOORE CHRISTIAN
AID
would like for our congregation to begin bringing Easter baskets for the
children. They would like
to
We
always try to increase our basket donations from the previous year. We donated 62 baskets last year. Let’s try to increase that number this
year. Please place them in the
kitchen when you bring them. Thanks
for your participation.
THANKS to
Anne Hoover for placing the beautiful flowers on the altar on Sunday in honor of
our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Thanks
so much, Anne.
We
goofed last week and forgot to add John Silex to the February perfect
attendance. Sorry,
John.
We
wish to take this opportunity to remind everyone to sign in so we do not forget
anyone. Thanks so
much.
Also,
Vi wants to apologize to Kaitlyn Eastis for omitting
her name on the monthly calendar of birthdays. Her birthday is March
20th. Sorry,
Kaitlyn.
We
wish to remind everyone if you want to have your birthday or anyone in your
family who wants to be included on the monthly calendar, please let us know in
the church office by calling 924-5295 or e-mailing us at lemooreumc@sbcglobal.net. We’ve noticed that sometimes on Sunday,
as it was yesterday, there were lots and lots of birthdays, but many of them
were not listed on the bulletin. We
would be glad to have them added to the monthly calendar so then we can include
them on the Sunday bulletin.
VISITORS ON SUNDAY, MARCH
7TH.
GIRL SCOUTS MAKE A DIFFERENCE. Girl Scout Sunday is a great opportunity
for churches to recognize an organization that aims to build “girls of courage,
confidence and character who make the world a better
place.”
Since
Juliette Gordon Low founded the Girl Scouts in March 1912, more than 43 million
young people have participated.
Famous former Girl Scouts include Hillary Clinton, Laura Bush, Sandra Day
O’Connor, Queen Elizabeth II, Sally Ride, Katie Couric, Lucille Ball, Natalie
Merchant, and Venus Williams.
Olympic
gymnast, Cathy Rigby, says her Girl Scout experience provided “a sense of real
teamwork and working for the community.”
“I
remember working as a group to achieve a goal,” Rigby adds. “There was a great sense of
accomplishment in that.”
